Year Of The Priest Prayer

PRAYER FOR THE YEAR OF THE PRIEST

Lord Jesus, that in St. John Mary Vianney
you wanted to donate to the Church
a moving image of your pastoral charity,
he,that, in his company and supported by his example,
may we live in fullness this Priestly life.

Pausing as he was before the Eucharist,
we can learn how simple,every day of your words that teaches us;
tender love to welcome repentant sinners;
consoling abandonment confidente your Immaculate Mother.

Lord Jesus, who, through the intercession of the Holy Curé d'Ars,
the Christian families to become "small churches"
in which all vocations and all the gifts,
donated by your Holy Spirit,
can be welcomed and valued.

Grant us, Lord Jesus,
you can repeat with the same fervor of the Holy Curé
the words with which he used to contact you:

"I love you, O my God,
and my only desire is to love you
till the last breath of my life.

I love you, infinitely loving God,
and I prefer to die a man
rather than live one moment without love.

I love you, Lord,
and the only grace that you wonder
is to love you forever.

My God, if my language can not tell you
at all times
that I love you,
I want my heart we'll repeat times as many times as breathing.

I love you,
O my Divine Savior,
because you have been crucified to me,
and keep me down here with you crucified.

My God, make me the grace to die a man and knowing that I love you. "

Amen.

Prayer for Priests

O Jesus, our great High Priest,
Hear my humble prayers on behalf of your priest, Father [N].

Give him a deep faith a bright and firm hope
and a burning love
which will ever increase
in the course of his priestly life.

In his loneliness, comfort him

In his sorrows, strengthen him

In his frustrations,
point out to him that it is through suffering
that the soul is purified,
and show him that he is needed by the Church,
he is needed by souls,
he is needed for the work of redemption.

O loving Mother Mary, Mother of Priests,
take to your heart your son who is close to you
because of his priestly ordination,
and because of the power
which he has received
to carry on the work of Christ
in a world which needs him so much.

Be his comfort,
be his joy,
be his strength,
and especially help him
to live and to defend
the ideals of consecrated celibacy.

Amen.

Prayer To The Sacred Heart

Hail!

O Sacred Heart of Jesus,
living and quickening source of eternal life,
infinite treasure of the Divinity,
and burning furnace of divine love.

Thou art my refuge and my sanctuary,
O my amiable Savior.

Consume my heart with that burning fire with which Thine is ever inflamed.

Pour down on my soul those graces which flow from Thy love,
and let my heart be so united with Thine,
that our wills may be one,
and mine in all things,
be conformed to Thine.

May Thy divine will be equally the standard and rule
of all my desires
and of all my actions.

Amen.

Prayer During Recession

In this time of recession,
we remember all those who have financial problems
and are finding life difficult.

We hold before You, O Lord,
all those who are fearful for their jobs,
all those who are desperately looking for work
and all those who have become depressed and have given up looking.

May Your Holy Spirit
come among us to heal the tensions of this time
and calm the many fears.

And with Christ by our side,
make us aware of each other's troubles
so that we may
reach out our hands with His friendship
and give unstintingly of His love.

AMEN

A Prayer for Healing - Victims of Abuse

God of endless love, ever caring, ever strong, always present, always just:You gave your only Son to save us by the blood of his cross.

Gentle Jesus, shepherd of peace, join to your own suffering the pain of all who have been hurt in body, mind, and spirit by those who betrayed the trust placed in them.

Hear our cries as we agonizeover the harm done to our brothers and sisters.

Breathe wisdom into our prayers, soothe restless hearts with hope, steady shaken spirits with faith.

Show us the way to justice and wholeness, enlightened by truth and enfolded in your mercy.

Holy Spirit, comforter of hearts, heal your people's wounds and transform our brokenness.

Grant us courage and wisdom, humility and grace so that we may act with justice and find peace in you.

We ask this through Christ, our Lord.

Amen.

Parish In Bray (23) - UPDATE

It has now become apparent that An Garda Síochána has truly become an agent of the Church considering the message received from a member concerned with the questionable raid perpetrated by nothing short of ass-covering on behalf of Fr White.

A message was received in relation to Detective Sergeant Eamon O'Neill, Detective John McDonnell and Cormac Walsh, and yet again contained false information but it has been notified to our legal representatives due to it being a threat.

We also have traced it back to its issuing IP and will certainly be taking this further!!

Sometimes, officers forget they are meant to uphold the law, not deny it and justice to others.

We here at CW have nothing to hide and would indeed be only too happy to co-operate with those who uphold the law so that does not include An Garda Síochána as has been proven with the email received.

And one thing we do here they may wish to take note of, and try to learn from us - we do not make false accusations!!

Get your facts correct 'officers' before throwing allegations around with the wrong names attached!!!

Or maybe that is too much to hope for considering....

SV (3)

Parish In Bray (23)

If it ever needed proving, considering the Ferns Report, Ryan Report and no doubt the forthcoming Dublin Report, the unhealthy link between An Garda Síochána and the Roman Catholic Church in Ireland has been yet again proven.

We here in CW have become aware of the following troubling incident which has been brought to our attention.

On Friday 26th June 2009, the private dwelling of a person who has brought her mis-treatment by Fr Larry White of a parish in Bray County Wicklow, had a visit from An Garda Síochána.

The 'officers' involved, namely Detective Sergeant Eamon O'Neill, Detective John McDonnell and Cormac Walsh, paid a most unwelcome visit to this lady and decided to flash an alleged search warrant (and failed to provide her with a copy thereof - not very lawful one would be of the belief) before proceeding to ransack her home in the search for only god knows what.

They removed 2 computers, old mobile phones belonging to her son, a collection of newspaper clippings, 2 personal notebooks with very private details and some photographs.

No doubt these items were removed in an attempt to intimidate and harass this lady into rescinding her allegations (all well founded) against Fr White who has done grave disservice to the priesthood by his actions and certainly holds sway with such members of the force.

Indeed, it is well known that one of the above named 'officers' attempted to dissuade the lady concerned from furthering any action against Fr White in an almost intimidating manner not so long ago.

The current action is also no doubt an attempt to continue in this manner and certainly considering the matter is before the Circuit Court in less than a months time so one has to wonder if the lawfully (?) obtained material as part of the raid will be passed to Fr White and his 'legal' team in an attempt to prevent the truth from coming out.

In the course of their raid, reference was made to this site by the 'officers' so it is nice to know we are being monitored are indeed the telephones of the lady concerned and some clergy with whom she has reason to communicate.

Also, reference was made in a rather unprofessional manner (well it is An Garda Síochána after all!!) towards a priest who was disparaged by the 'officers' and in that regard may we take the opportunity to point them to the following which no doubt will be brought to their attention at some stage -

Dominus Iesus

This Declaration of the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith was signed and published by Joseph Cardinal Ratzinger (now Pope Benedict XVI) in August of the same year.

In this Declaration, the Roman Catholic Church recognizes the validity of Orders and Sacraments of other Catholic denominations.

"These Churches which, while not existing in perfect communion with the (Roman) Catholic Church, remain united to her by means of the closest bonds, that is, by apostolic succession and a valid Eucharist, and are true particular Churches."

"Therefore, these separated Churches and communities as such...have by no means been deprived of significance and importance in the mystery of salvation.

For the spirit of Christ has not refrained from using them as means of salvation which derive their efficacy from the very fullness of grace and truth entrusted to the Catholic Church."

IV Unicity and Unity of the Church, 17

So now Messrs. O'Neill, McDonnell and Walsh, it might be more in your line to investigate real crime rather than perceived crime and do the jobs the Irish State pays you to do rather than being kept in the pocket of Fr White.

And be careful of who you name because libel and slander laws do exist for a reason....pity you are not so quick to enforce them!!!

Almighty God, who by the hand of Mark the evangelist hast given to thy Church the Gospel of Jesus Christ the Son of God:

Pauline Year (29th June 2008/09) Prayer

Glorious Saint Paul,

Apostle full of zeal,

Martyr by Christ's love,

obtain for us a profound faith,
a firm hope,

a burning love for the Lord

so that we can say with you:

"It is no longer I but the Christ who lives in me."

Help us to become apostles

who serve the Church with a pure conscience,

witnesses of its greatness and its beauty

amid the darkness of our time.

With you we praise God our Father,

"To Him be the glory in the Church and in Christ

from age to age forever."

Year of the Priest Prayer

PRAYER FOR THE YEAR OF THE PRIEST

Lord Jesus, that in St. John Mary Vianney
you wanted to donate to
the Church a moving image of your pastoral charity,
he,that, in his company and supported by his example,
may we live in fullness
this Priestly life.

Pausing as he was before the Eucharist, we can learn
how simple, everyday of your words that teaches us;
tender love to welcome repentant sinners; consoling
abandonment confidente your Immaculate Mother.

Lord Jesus, who, through the intercession of the Holy Curé d'Ars, the
Christian families to become "small churches" in which all vocations
and all the gifts, donated by your Holy Spirit, can be
welcomed and valued. Grant us, Lord Jesus, you can repeat with
the same fervor of the Holy Curé the words with which he used to
contact you:

"I love you, O my God, and my only desire
is to love you till the last breath of my life.

I love you, infinitely loving God,
and I prefer to die amandoti
rather than live one moment without love.

I love you, Lord, and the only grace that you wonder
is to love you forever.

My God, if my language
can not tell you at all times that I love you,
I want my heart we'll repeat
times as many times as breathing.

I love you, O my Divine Savior,
because you have been crucified to me,
and keep me down here with you crucified.

My God, make me the grace to die amandoti
and knowing that I love you. "

Amen.

Prayer for Priests

O Jesus, our great High Priest,
Hear my humble prayers on behalf of your priest, Father [N].

Give him a deep faith

a bright and firm hope
and a burning love
which will ever increase
in the course of his priestly life.

In his loneliness, comfort him
In his sorrows, strengthen him

In his frustrations, point out to him
that it is through suffering that the soul is purified,

and show him that he is needed by the Church,

he is needed by souls,

he is needed for the work of redemption.

O loving Mother Mary, Mother of Priests,

take to your heart your son who is close to you
because of his priestly ordination,
and because of the power which he has received
to carry on the work of Christ
in a world which needs him so much.

Be his comfort, be his joy, be his strength, and especially help him
to live and to defend the ideals of consecrated celibacy.

Amen.

Exam Prayer

Lord Jesus,
for me and all my fellow students,
may we have Your help today and
all the days of these exams.

May I be assured of Your
friendship and the friendship
of all who wish me well.

Just give me a clear mind,
a reassurance that the work
I've done will be enough
and that I can believe
in myself and
my ability.

If, for a moment,
that belief should fail,
may I depend
on those I know
who are praying
for me.

Amen

Prayer To The Sacred Heart

Hail!

O Sacred Heart of Jesus,

living and quickening source of eternal life,

infinite treasure of the Divinity, and burning furnace of divine love.

Thou art my refuge and my sanctuary, O my amiable Savior.

Consume my heart with that burning fire with which Thine is ever inflamed.

Pour down on my soul those graces which flow from Thy love,

and let my heart be so united with Thine,

that our wills may be one, and mine in all things, be conformed to Thine.

May Thy divine will be equally the standard and rule of all my desires and of all my actions.

Amen.
